Mama Movement is a sustainable colourful activewear label from the inner west of Melbourne. We are a female-founded business on a mission to spread a message of body positivity with our colourful high-performance activewear. Founded in 2020, we have experienced rapid growth in our first year due to our incredible online community and are now looking to grow the Mama Movement brand by adding a superstar customer-focused individual to our team.


Job Tasks & Responsibilities

This role is a Customer Operations Manager, who is to be responsible for the company’s customer servicing and warehouse operations. We are looking for a unicorn who loves connecting with people to deliver amazing customer service and a truly unique brand experience, while also being a highly organised individual who can help the company to set up our operations and warehousing in a way that will enable us to scale the business into the future.


Main tasks:

  • Processing online customer enquiries including providing assistance with product enquiries through emails and social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram), ensuring that our customers and community continue to experience the highest level of care and amazing customer service. 
  • Warehouse organisation including assisting with the set-up of our new warehouse, with autonomy to improve operations to enable the business to scale up
  • Fulfilment of customer orders including picking, packing and shipping orders, as well as processing exchanges and returns
  • Inventory management and quality control including website updates as required

    What we’re looking for:

    • A customer-centred attitude, with a passion for ensuring a positive brand experience is felt by our customers at every touch point
    • A highly-organised individual, who can help us with improving and growing our operations 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to support delivery of amazing customer service (ability to create and share content on social media is a bonus!)
    • Previous e-commerce, warehouse or fashion retail experience preferred
    • Familiarity with online and social media platforms (e.g. email, Facebook and Instagram)
    • Basic computer skills and ability to learn quickly. Experience with Shopify is ideal but not required. 
    • Able to lift and move boxes as required
    • You must LOVE our colourful activewear and brand mission to celebrate ALL bodies with colour (and yes you’ll get lots of free activewear!)

    Our preference is for a person with warehouse or e-commerce experience who can help us take this growing business to the next stage of growth, but full training will be provided for the right individual. This is a part-time role with a flexible 2-3 day a week structure (negotiable), which can include partial work from home arrangements. There is also potential to grow to a full time role in the future if desired. As the business grows, it is envisioned for this role to move into a management position, managing a team responsible for customer enquiries and order fulfilment.


    We are looking for someone to take on this role as your own, help us to continue to deliver an outstanding brand experience to our customers and community, and bring across your highly organised operational skill-set including any previous warehouse or retail experience to help improve processes and implement efficiencies as we move to scale. Salary is negotiable dependent on relevant experience.
