Sizing FAQs
How do I find my size?
Measure your bust, waist and hips and compare them with the size chart (in cm or inches). For leggings and bike shorts, follow your hip measurement if your waist and hips fall into different sizes. For sports bras, crops and raincoats, follow your bust measurement.
What if I am between sizes?
For adult leggings, bike shorts and raincoats, size down for a more supportive or fitted look. For sports bras, size down for a more compressive workout fit, or size up for a more relaxed everyday fit. For kids raincoats, always size up.
How do Mama Movement sizes convert to US and UK sizes?
AU and UK sizes are the same in our size chart. US and Canadian sizes run four sizes lower than AU-UK, so an AU 10-12 (Medium) is a US 6-8.
What size should I order in maternity leggings?
Measure your hips under the bump and stick to your usual pre-pregnancy size. Maternity leggings stretch with you through every trimester and have an extra-long, over-the-belly waistband.
Do Mama Movement raincoats run big?
Our raincoats have a relaxed, oversized fit with plenty of room for layering. Size down for a more fitted look. If you want to wear thick knits or hoodies underneath, stay with your usual size.
What size kids raincoat should I order?
Our kids raincoats are sized by age, from 2-3 to 10-11. Use your child's height and chest from the kids raincoat chart, and if they are between sizes, always size up so there is room to layer and grow.
Which leggings length should I choose?
7/8 length is our most popular and is flattering on all heights. Full-length is best for women 165cm and taller, or for extra ankle coverage in cooler months. We also offer 3/4 length, bike shorts and shortie bike shorts.
What is the difference between Everyday, Elevate and Embrace fabrics?
Everyday is our signature recycled polyester with a high, supportive hold, great for workouts, Pilates and everyday life. Elevate is a brushed recycled polyester with medium-firm compression that feels soft and warm, ideal for exercising in cooler weather. Embrace is a double brushed recycled polyester with a medium, cosy hug and a fleece-like feel, made for all-day winter wear.
What sizes do you offer?
Our women's sizes run from XS to 5XL (AU-UK 6-8 to 22-24, US-CA 2-4 to 18-20), and our raincoats are also available in 6XL. Our kids raincoats come in age sizes 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9 and 10-11.

I found working out the size to be the hardest as I have never bought clothes online before. Belly thanks to Menopause so wanted to make sure they fitted comfortably and not too tight around it. Mine are too big, comfortable in the belly and pretty sure I could go a size down in the waist and way too big in the legs. However I kept them to wear around the house because easy to pull up and down when going to the loo! Plus the high waist is good. I am hoping the next size down will be tighter in the legs but I don’t think so. If you want to accommodate a big belly you get bigger legs which I don’t have. It would be great if they made bike pants..the bike shorts are a little too short for an oldie like me! In Qld the 3/4 are too hot in Summer.
