Winning Best Bike Shorts Australia – For the Second Year Running
This one made me scream and cry. Bike shorts hold a special place in my heart. Every summer, it’s my personal mission to convert as many women as possible to the shorts life. Life’s too short not to be cool and comfortable during an Aussie summer!
We pour so much love and care into making our bike shorts absolutely perfect – no rolling down, no digging in, just vibrant, joy-filled designs that move with you. Winning this title in the Best of Fitness Awards by Prevention Magazinefor the second year running felt like a dream come true and brought us one step closer to the ultimate goal: colourful bike shorts everywhere this summer.
Collaborating with 8 Female Australian Artists and Releasing 14 Prints
One of the most joyful parts of 2024 has been working with incredibly talented female Australian artists to bring our prints to life. This year alone, we collaborated with8 artists to release 14 stunning prints – each one bursting with colour, personality, and a story of its own.
From vibrant florals to playful abstract designs, every print is a celebration of creativity and a reflection of our mission to bring joy to movement. These collaborations mean so much to me because they showcase the incredible talent of Australian women while also spreading colour and happiness to our community.
Winning Best Maternity Activewear Brand Australia
Motherhood changed my body in ways that didn’t always feel good. During my first pregnancy, I went from visible abs and five gym sessions a week to battling sciatica, back pain, and a body that seemed to change overnight. Suddenly, nothing fit me.
This experience inspired me to create maternity and nursing wear that prioritises comfort, adjustability, and beauty. Every piece is designed to grow with changing bodies and help mums feel amazing. Winning Best Maternity Activewear is my love letter to every mum-to-be and new mum. You deserve to feel supported and stylish every step of the way.
Editor’s Choice for Eco & Sustainability Product of the Year
Who would have thought 2024 would be the year of the raincoat? Our top-selling product this year wasn’t leggings or bike shorts… it was our Rainbow Splatter Raincoats! These iconic, colourful coats became a bestseller, and every restock seemed to fly off the shelves.
This year, we also introduced our new Longline Raincoats, which earned us theEditor’s Choice forEco & Sustainability Product of the Year. Sustainability is a core value for us, so this recognition means the world. We work hard to make choices that are kinder to Mama Earth, and we’re proud to see that effort recognised.
Visiting Our Manufacturers in China
One of the most rewarding moments of 2024 was finally visiting our wonderful manufacturers in China. Having started Mama Movement during Covid and with a little one arriving two years ago, I hadn’t had the chance to go… until now.
This trip was eye-opening and incredibly productive. I gained a deeper understanding of the manufacturing process and had the privilege of meeting the talented women (and a few men) who sew our gorgeous garments. Their skill, dedication, and warmth made me fall in love with China. It was a reminder that behind every piece of activewear is a team of incredible humans.

2024 has been a whirlwind. While these highlights showcase the magic, the reality is that my team and I worked tirelessly through one of the toughest retail climates ever. And yet, we’ve come out stronger, thanks to you.
Your orders and unwavering support keep this movement alive. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’re spreading joy, inclusivity, and colour to every corner of the world.
Looking Ahead to 2025
2025 is already shaping up to be just as exciting, and I can’t wait to share what’s coming next. But for now, we’re taking a well-deserved break. Our warehouse and office will close fromDec 21, returning on Jan 6, and all orders and emails will be processed from Jan 6. Our website, of course, remains open 24/7 for all your shopping needs.
