At Mama Movement, we believe in celebrating women—every shape, every size, and every stage of life. And this International Women’s Day, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the powerhouse women behind the brand—the ones making the magic happen every day.
But before they were packing orders, answering your messages with a smile, and designing Australia’s happiest activewear… they were rocking frilly skirts, dressing as clowns, styling maximum-volume hair, and fully committing to chicken drumsticks. 🍗
So in the spirit of “Move for HER. Move for YOU. Move for JOY.”, we’re taking a joyful trip down memory lane with the cutest, funniest, and most iconic throwback photos of the team.
Meet the Women Behind the Movement (Before They Knew It!)

Faye – Founder & Creative Director
Here's baby Faye in 1988, fully committed to devouring a chicken drumstick 🍗—when she should have been designing vibrant activewear and running a brand. Priorities, right?!

Olga – Head of Operations & Customer Care
Back in 1987, Olga was already ahead of the dopamine dressing trend, rocking a full clown costume 🎪—when she should have been streamlining warehouse logistics and delivering top-tier customer service. Some things never change—she’s still making people smile every day! 😆

Carly – Warehouse & Customer Fulfilment Specialist
In 1989, Carly was busy twirling in the prettiest pink frills 🎀—when she should have been packing your activewear orders with lightning speed! Clearly, style has always been her thing.

Meagan – Digital & Customer Operations Officer
With big dreams and even bigger hair 💁♀️ in 1990, Meagan was confidently rocking a stylishly oversized jumper and coiffing her curls —when she should have been optimising customer emails and providing top-notch digital admin support.
Why We Celebrate International Women’s Day
At Mama Movement, we move for HER—the little girls we once were, the women we are today, and the next generation growing up watching us.
We believe movement is joyful, empowering, and made for every woman. And what better way to celebrate IWD than by recognising the women who make this brand (and community) so special?
We hope these photos brought a little smile to your face, and on behalf of all the women behind Mama Movement, we wish you a Happy International Women's Day!
